Summer has just begun and its been a busy one already.

On Father's Day we all went to Katherine's for breakfat and then took Sean to Memphis Kiddie Park. At first he was scared of every ride until we all rode the big train. He loved the car he drives himself that goes around a track under the roller coaster. He wasn't too sure about the merry-go-round but rode in the seat with Dad. He also like the horse-n-buggy that rode along a track.

Alison's been having swim meets on Tuesday and Thursday and is swimmingly good. Bas & I are in charge of timing. The weather was freezing for the first two meets and the third one was very hot.

Sean started Story Hour at the library on Monday mornings. Afterwards, he loves playing with the bus, the train, and reading all the books!

June 22 we went to Pittsburgh to watch the Pirates play the Indians......Tribe won! It was a sunny and warm day but our great seats were on the shady side, lucky us! The brand new stadium is right on one of the rivers and is pretty cool. It was "Cap Day" so Sean got his very own Pittsburgh Pirates baseball cap. Of course Sean's favorite spot was at the playground right in the stadium. He liked the game until everyone started yelling at HIM!!! (he thought the fans were really yelling at HIM....it was hilarious).

Today Bas & I took Sean to the University Circle Artsfest. What an awesome parade.....lots of colorful and unique off-the-wall costumes. Sean especially loved the drummers and people dressed up as animals (rabbits, elephants, a mouse, birds). I'd recommend this event to everyone.

A couple of interesting things happened this week. First of all, Sean was home alone with Papa while I was with Hunter at his Obedience class. Bas heard Sean yell, "Daddy, I need you.....I pooped!") It was a loud yell and when Bas looked into Sean's bedroom, there he was with his diaper off and poop all over the floor . It took Bas about an hour to clean up while Sean watched from his crib trying to figure out if Daddy was mad and what exactly he did wrong. The thing is, this is the second time he did this on his carpeting. Poop is yucky Sean!

Meanwhile after Hunter's class, we visited Linda Waranai and all of her dogs and Hunter ran and ran and ran into all the mud. He had so much fun but needed a bath when we got home.

Sean learned to use a spoon correctly to eat his oatmeal. He used to turn it upside down and it all fell out! Must be all the practice from using his shovels in his sandbox. He also learned to eat a sucker without it dripping all out of his mouth, in other words, he learned to swallow!

Sean "pretends" to be different things: a train, a truck, a car, an ambulance. If you call his name and ask him something, he will say, "I'm a train or I'm a car, etc."

Alison had her senior pictures taken today......they turned out very good. She took some alone and some with Sean. Look for your copy in the mail soon.

Sean's new favorite thing to do is play in his new "Franklin the turtle" sandbox. He loves digging and filling up buckets with sand, throwing sand, filling up Mitch the dump truck, and pushing sand with Wally the Front-end Loader, throwing some more sand, and putting his piggies in the sand!

Bas, how's your boo-boo doing from soccer last week? (A clue: his back end got injured in a flying fall in a wet and slippery field)

Not much is happening this week. Can you believe it's June already and all we've had is cold temps and rain, rain, rain. After this snowy and cold winter we all need a sunny break.....hear that Mother Nature??

Hunter is doing well in his obedience training. We'll really know for sure when someone comes to visit and he doesn't jump on them.

Alison is lifeguarding but not getting many hours due to rain.

Sean is still busy building things with his lego's. Yesterday Papa cut up his chicken for dinner and Sean said they were still too huge, can you cut them some more Papa!
